Precision NanoSystems, Inc. (PNI) creates innovative solutions for the discovery, development, and manufacture of novel nanoparticles for use as medicines and in medical research.

Functioning within the BioPharmaceutical Operations group (BPO), the Analytical Intern will report to the Manager of Analytical Development (AD) and will work on projects to advance the development of LC-MS based methods for the characterization of RNA Critical Quality Attributes. The intern will also assist in various Analytical activities required to support both internal and external programs, being involved, but not limited to, the analysis of RNA, peptides/proteins, and lipids using Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (LC- MS).

The ideal applicant will have experience with analytical assays and will be able to collaborate in a diverse team and in a high-paced environment. An interest in LC-MS or HPLC is highly desirable.

What you'll do:

Refer to available literature to prepare study plans and participate in experimental design, problem-solving and technical discussions.

• Use analytical routine techniques to characterize nanoparticle formulations. • Prepare Reports and technical presentations.

• Assist with daily tasks in the lab such as maintenance, buffer preparation, ordering, etc.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

A student of University Program in Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical and Biological Engineering, or relevant disciplines with hands-on experience in the laboratory.

• General knowledge of analytical or bioassay techniques.

• Experience with standard analytical and/or molecular biology techniques such as chromatography, gel electrophoresis, etc., is an asset.

• Resourceful, flexible, detail-oriented, organized and with excellent communication skills.

• Able to work both as a team and independently with minimum supervision.

The salary range for this role is $18-25/hr CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
