Job Position: Anchor Driller Assistant

Job Status: Full Time

Double Star Drilling has an immediate opening for a Full Time Anchor Driller Assistant. Previous field experience as a labourer is required. The primary responsibility of the Anchor Driller’s Assistant is to assist the Equipment Operators (Driller’s) and Superintendent.

Key Duties:

• Operating small to medium sized equipment
• Traffic Control
• General equipment maintenance
• Participating in all safety meetings and toolbox meetings
• Physical and manual labour
• Removal of drill spoils
• Site clean-up
• Changing of bits, casing, and all other tooling as required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience as a general construction labourer
• Class 5 license and clean driver abstract
• Must provide own transportation to job site
• Must be on time and fit for work for all shifts as communicated by the site supervisor
• Will be required to perform a drug and alcohol test for pre project access or post incident review
• On-the-job training is provided

· Valid CSTS-2020

· Valid WHMIS 2015 certification

· Valid Ground Disturbance considered an asset

· Valid First Aid considered an asset

· PPE Provided- Hard Hat, Glasses, Gloves, Ear Protection, Coveralls. You are

required to have your own CSA Approved Steel Toe Boots and warmer clothes for winter season

· Mechanically inclined an asset

· Experience with various power tools, shovels, and other construction equipment

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repetitively

Working Conditions

· Overtime as required

· Must be able to travel out of town and accommodate last minute scheduling

· Repetitive bending and lifting

Hours and Schedule

Double Star Drilling’s tentative operation hours are from 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Depending on production, schedule and timelines overtime and weekends may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
