Saskatoon Animal Control Agency (SACA) has been actively involved in our community since 2004 providing Animal Control services to the City of Saskatoon. In January of 2024 our role has expanded to provide daily care for those animals found as strays, which are held at the City Pound facility. We are currently seeking applications for staff to help assist us in returning found strays and rehoming those that can not be returned.
This job encompasses multiple responsibilities including; Reception, Adoption Counselling, Bylaw enforcement, General Admin work
Working alongside our Animal Care team and Animal Control Officers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
o Lost and Found services.
o Completing return of impounded animals and the related citation issuance and the related court attendances.
o Documenting case file related interactions.
o Facilitation of adoptions and foster care; including communication with adoptive families and foster homes.
o Maintenance of animal records and documentation relative to public interactions.
o Product sales, including City of Saskatoon Animal license and collection of adoption fees.
o Coordination of surgical appointments.
o Transfer of animals to offsite locations.
o Education of the population specific to Animal Control and bylaw specific concerns.
o Other duties as required.

Additionally, a general knowledge of animal behavior and identification, basic knowledge of computers and data entry and Shelter or Vet Clinic Reception experience would be an asset.
