Application Administrator (Hybrid)

This position is a hybrid role with 3 days a week required in our collaborative office in London, Ontario/2 days remote. This role cannot be done fully remote.

As a member of the Trojan IS team you will be a part of an innovative, diverse collaborative and dynamic team. The Information Systems Applications Administrator reporting to the Senior Manager - Business Systems is responsible for the smooth operation of our internal applications and connected systems, while also driving system IT audit adherence, corporate security compliance and support of internal devices and systems.

In this role, you will:

• Administer the Trojan on-premises systems and cloud-based connected systems
• Administer and directly support refreshes of the multi-level ERP server environment (Prod, Pre-Prod, Dev, Patch)
• Track and regularity report system health, resource utilization, and alert activity
• Drive high levels of system performance, availability, sustainability, and security by proactively engaging platform resources.
• Triage, solve, and correct connected system level technical issues in real-time

Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

• Post-secondary education in a related discipline (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
• 3 plus years of experience in technical support in areas such as backups, restores and recovery models, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server, Windows server, including Active Directory
• OS Scripting - Windows BAT file scripting, Powershell scripting, Unix Shell scripting (nice to have) and creating OS level alerts

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Refining and automating system jobs, automations, processes, track issues, and document system changes
• Coaching developers and internal customers on security and performance best practices
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
