The Applications Scientist II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics works closely with marketing, development, and manufacturing associates to ensure our products meet the expectations of our customers and our global support organization.  This role is an intersection of instrument and immunoassay knowledge/sophisticated troubleshooting, and technical customer support that allows the Applications Scientist II, GPTS, IA-Apps to provide a high level of support to our global customers and support organizations.   

This position is part of the Global Product Technical Support located in Chaska, Minnesota. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Applications Technical Support team and report to the Applications Manager responsible for supporting our global Immunoassay in vitro diagnostic products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the clinical laboratory operation requirements
  • Understand statistical techniques and risk management
  • Work in a multi-functional team setting
  • Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, and reference laboratories
  • Demonstrate a passion and dedication to global customers and support specialists

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Medical Science Technology or other relevant area and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master degree with 0+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working  in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Travel – up to 25%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • In vitro diagnostics (IVD) technical support
  • Applying CLSI requirements within the laboratory
