Description
Flying Dust First Nation Operations & Maintenance Division provides a variety of maintenance and construction services to the community of Flying Dust. Flying Dust First Nation O & M Division is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to provide a variety of supporting maintenance, the safe functioning and monitoring of various equipment and machinery to ensure its efficient operation for general use and construction projects in the community working directly with the Journeyman Mechanic.
Skills/Qualifications:
Possess a working knowledge of:
o Hydraulics and electrical
o Schematics and diagnostics
o Routine maintenance operations
o Inventory control / management
Demonstrate an understanding of Flying Dust First Nations Human Resource Policies and Guidelines
Possess very good listening, oral, and written communication skills
Demonstrate time management skills to meet deadlines
Ability to follow direction, work independently and as well as part of a team
Demonstrate deadline and prioritization management skills.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Registered 2nd or 3rd year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice preferred
Working towards completion of a Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification is preferable
Certified to complete a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) or DOT Inspections is considered an asset
Valid Drivers license
