You will undertake day to day hatchery related activities: Be responsible for the general care, cleaning, maintenance of good water and food quality for broodstock, larvae and juveniles of shellfish as well as assist in production of micro algae for feeding all species produced.
In addition, you will participate in, and assist research and development activities into the nutrition of shellfish larvae, juveniles, adults and broodstock and other aspects of their biology and culture. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours and days.
Qualifications:
Applicants must:
. Have a minimum of diploma or degree in Aquaculture, Biology or related degree
· Have meticulous attention to detail
· Have good laboratory and work space habits
· Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Be energetic, self motivated and a strong team player
· Be computer literate
· First aid certification would be an advantage
