THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking an Area Supervisor, Maintenance & Inspection located in Central Alberta. This role will be responsible for the day to day supervision and direction of the Field Maintenance and Pipeline Integrity Maintenance Teams. The individual will be responsible for all field maintenance for the Keylink Gathering System, Rimbey/Gilby Field Gathering System, and Pipeline Integrity Maintenance in our G&P South Fields.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide demonstrated leadership to the Rimbey/Gilby, Keylink, and Drayton Valley Field Maintenance staff through prioritizing and managing work activities for Field initiatives.
  • Provide demonstrated leadership to Field Pipeline Integrity maintenance staff throughout the G&P South Field.
  • Maintain regional ERP’s and provide appropriate response to specific events 24/7.
  • Ensure appropriate resources to safely maintain equipment in the region.
  • Provide employee support, training, and assist with performance evaluation and recognition.
  • Foster a creative, cooperative, and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain ongoing customer relations with all new and existing customers.
  • Maintain an efficient operation through yearly budget development and monthly operating expense control and reporting as required.
  • Key member in creating a regional maintenance philosophy.
  • Lead and direct the development of work processes and maintenance procedures to further improve the efficiency in the areas of responsibility.
  • Areas of focus may/will include Field HSE programs, measurement, supply chain, MOC process, planning & scheduling, and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations & Corporate stakeholders when it comes to corporate initiatives such as Asset Management & Reliability, Operational Excellence, and others.
  • Own, manage, and support the Asset Management & Reliability Program (AMR) and utilization of Maximo at the site.
  • Develop and manage monthly and annual Maintenance budget; supply reports and data for auditing purposes.
  • Supervise, support and mentor maintenance personnel; provide training opportunities where possible in support of the Performance Review process.
  • Manage the Maintenance progression/CMDS competencies.
  • Provide assistance and direction on emergency callouts and be an integral part of fostering HSE programs.
  • Research and attract top vendors and suppliers while ensuring optimal cost and service to the facility.
  • Initiate service providers who are aligned with maintenance needs of the facilities.
  • Review and plan for critical infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ensure critical parts are maintained at desired levels.
  • Accountable to play key ICS roles in the Emergency Response Plan and expected to participate in a rotating leadership on call program.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • 5 to 7 years’ proven leadership experience in oil & gas industry.
  • Hold a Journeyman Certification in Instrumentation, Electrical, Millwright or Pipefitter or strong Pipeline integrity Background.
  • Extensive knowledge of sour gas plants and pipelines acquired through either direct experience or a specifically related background.
  • Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal/leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine technical skills with business acumen.
  • Strong organizational skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Obtain and maintain all safety certificates as per Keyera’s requirements.
  • Creative, open-minded approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract).
  • This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
