Position Overview

At Aecon, people are at the heart of everything we do. As an Asphalt Rakerpersontravel throughout southern Alberta and southern Saskatchewan is required. This contract is 7 months and will begin in April 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for distributing the asphalt mix to ensure a smooth surface (eliminate bumps/lines)
- Raking hot asphalt
- Shoveling excess asphalt
- Sweeping up litter and excess material
- Abide by healthy and safety protocols and maintain safety mindset
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Must have experience operating an Asphalt Roller on major roadways, ensuring the surface material is to the desired compaction and smoothness.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
- Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
- Willing to work out of town and in remote locations, as required.
- Willing to work overtime, as required.
- Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
