Assembler - Brantford Location

Shifts: Day shift (Monday to Friday): 6:30am - 3:00pm, Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday): 3:00pm-11:30pm, Night shift (Sunday night to Friday Morning): 10:00pm-6:30am

Must be flexible for any straight shift

KEY Responsibilities:

• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the “Act”) and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that Mott requires to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware
• Read labels and assemble product as required
• Inspect and verify painted surfaces for runs, coverage and other quality requirements
• Inspect and verify cabinets according to orders to ensure requirements are met
• Review orders for components and select what to use
• Choose correct sub-components for finished product requirements
• Match proper handles, locks, etc. to the order requirements
• Assemble various cabinet types as per schedule
• Install insulation properly
• Verify all moving parts, doors and drawers for smooth and correct functioning
• Cut handles and other needs
• Cross reference the order number and cabinet number to the assembly order sheet to determine the type of build required
• Include appropriate touch-up paint and other requirements as per customer orders
• Minimize WIP
• Complete paperwork and sign offs as per quality procedure requirements
• Package in a manner which ensures the integrity of the product through transport to customers
• Perform other duties as required

• Ability to work with power hand tools effectively (i.e. cordless drill)
