Assembler/Warehouse Associate

Barbecues Galore has five gorgeous retail stores — three in Ontario and two in Calgary — offering the nation’s best collection of barbecues, fireplaces and patio furniture. You’ll be reporting to our Store Managers and will be ultimately responsible for maintaining all aspects of warehouse guidelines. You’ll be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and well organized, and ensuring all product enters and exits the building in a timely manner. Responsibilities

• Building BBQs to specifications ensuring quality and standards are met.
• Maintain warehouse standards by keeping up with daily housekeeping and task lists.
• Provide superior customer service with customer pick-ups through handling product(s) with care and answering all customer’s questions informatively.
• Receiving inventory orders and unloading shipping containers.
• Merchandising product within the warehouse to ensure maximum organization and use of space.
• Ensuring all paperwork for receiving and shipping product is completed and submitted to appropriate departments in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• A commitment to exemplary customer service. You’re one of the last points of contact our customers have, we want to ensure you will leave a lasting positive impression
• Working knowledge of computers. We’ll train you to use our CRM, but you need to be able to navigate a computer effectively and efficiently
• A warehouse is a busy place with lots of moving parts, attention to detail and good time management skills are essential to success in this role
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Experience operating a forklift is an asset, however, forklift training is provided
• Must be able to stand for long hours – majority of position is on your feet
• Must be available to work weekends

• Compensation range: $16.55/hr
