WorkSafeNB is seeking an Assessment Audit Specialist (Payroll Audit). Reporting to the Team Lead, Employer Classification and Audit Services, you will ensure employer compliance with the Workers' Compensation Act through field visits and to audit employers and to inform them on the various aspects of the Commission's Policies and services, including case management and prevention initiatives. Your key areas of responsibility include: • Completing audits and industry classification review on assessed employers. • Ensuring NB employers are compliant with their reporting and disclosure responsibilities under the legislation, and to ensure accuracy for rate setting by completing classification reviews of assessed employers’ business activities/operations. • Providing education and awareness to NB employers, stakeholders, and relevant associations which aids in increasing compliance to WorkSafeNB’s assessment protocols. • Investigating, non-registered employers. You, as a successful candidate, possess: • University degree, preferable in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or another related field and two years of relevant work experience in finance, audit, worker’s compensation, insurance (risk financing), law / administrative justice, payroll, etc. o An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (ex: two-year diploma in Business Administration (Accounting, Financial Management, Insurance, and Risk, etc.) plus four years of relevant work experience. • General knowledge of New Brunswick’s business community, industry types, etc.

Written and spoken competency in English and French is required. Pay Scale $61,594.16 to $72,464.00 Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week. Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings or field visits, for that reason, working from outside the province or country is not permissible.
