This position involves all aspects of operating a store, opening and closing, cashier, stocking, inventory control, ordering inventory, and doing daily sales and books.

The store is located 1 hour by flight on a 9 passenger Cessna Caravan north of Winnipeg, MB. There are about 600 people in the community of Pauingassi. It has a school with approximately 12 teachers, a nursing station with 2 nurses and a doctor who is in once a week. RCMP is 15 km away in Little Grand Rapids and there are 3 band constables on duty in the community. There is also a Northern Store (our competition). The ice road is usually available from February to March, otherwise travel is by Airplane and helicopter only. Shared housing is provided at no cost. We have 3 large dogs that guard the premises, you are responsible for caring for them.

Store hours are 1 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm Sunday to Friday and 5 pm to 10 pm Saturday. There are 4 days off per month including travel. Airfare is paid for 1 person to and from Winnipeg, MB.

Salary is $3000 a month, with 6 month performance reviews. Contract for 1 year to be signed.
