About the Role:
As the Assistant Designer, your role will be to assist the leadership team with a broad array of tasks necessary to complete the development of new products. You will focus on performing the necessary functions to take seasonal projects from ideation through to manufacturing commercialization (full product lifecycle management). An ideal candidate is part technical and part creative. Being well-organized and detail-oriented is essential for our fast-paced environment. This role will involve a hybrid work setup, combining work from home and in-person attendance for fit meetings.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to finalize product designs, including technical aspects, trim and tag designs, and graphic elements. Occasionally assist with sourcing and working with new suppliers.
- Create tech packs in our PLM systems, collaborating with pattern makers when necessary to finalize packs for suppliers. Send tech packs to suppliers for sample making.
- Measure samples and attend in-person fit meetings. Make necessary adjustments to tech packs and send them to suppliers.
- Maintain daily communications with international suppliers when needed.
- Request and provide feedback on lab dips using the Pantone system.
- Assist with new fabric development and optimization.
Who You Are:
- You have a strong understanding of the technical elements of design, sewing, and garment construction.
- You have at least two years of experience in technical fashion design with both knit and woven fabrics.
- You possess extensive experience with Adobe Suite and graphic design.
- Detail-oriented and have a passion for mastering the small things.
- An analytical, thoughtful, and methodical thinker.
- Goal-oriented and can fulfill and complete tasks on time with precision.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $16.55-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
