The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager holds a dual role in the club, overseeing both the day-to-day activities of the Food and Beverage department and collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to guide a committed team. Together, their mission is to create an exceptional, unforgettable, and personalized dining experience for our members and their guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food and Beverage Operations Manager in scheduling, ordering of product, menu planning and development, administrative duties, and all other facets of the Food & Beverage department.
  • Continuously ensure that every member and or guest has a memorable experience. In the event of a concern or conflict, you will immediately try to positively resolve the situation.
  • Provide team members with support and direction during their shift with presence on the floor during busy times.
  • Support the Food and Beverage Operations Manager to ensure the achievement of our financial goals.
  • Provide consistent, professional communication within the department.
  • Take a leading role in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of all new team members.
  • Foster a coaching culture that encourages team members to achieve personal and professional success.
  • Initiate & coordinate member experience events to help generate revenue.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a restaurant, multi outlet unit or club environment.
  • Strong beverage and wine knowledge is required.
  • Experience with a POS system required and strong computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
  • Highly motivated and customer driven with the ability to solve problems and make timely decisions.
  • Proven leadership experience with strengths in staff development, recruitment, and retention.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Background check required upon hire.
