Assistant Golf Professional / Pro Shop Supervisor

Timber Run Golf Club & Event Lodge is home to an 18-hole golf course located within the Lanark Highlands, along the banks of the Clyde River. With spectacular scenic views, see nature at its best.

Our beautiful 10,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with vaulted ceiling, curving staircase and stone fireplace provides a wonderful setting year-round for weddings, banquets, private parties, and golf tournaments.

Golf and events are our business. We are now hiring for the 2024 season.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bi-Weekly Scheduling for Golf Operations department (Pro Shop, Carts, Marshals)
• 20 hrs/week Pro Shop duty
• League Administration
• Tournament Administration - Assist with tournament organization & administration (shotgun draws, registration, signage, scoring, etc.)
• Merchandise display and inventory management
• Tee-On system administration
• Works in conjunction with Hospitality Lead for internal event planning
• Assist with marketing, communications and Social Media content
• Develop and offer game improvement services where possible
• Provides club regripping services
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.
• Must follow health and safety policies and procedures

Skills and Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible work shift including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Strong Oral and Written communication skills
• Well organized
• Self starter
• Strong focus on customer needs and exceptional service delivery
• Experience with golf Point of Sale (Tee-On or similar) and Tournament Management (Golf Genius) software is an asset
• PGA of Canada membership considered an asset but not required
• Interest/experience in Sports/Leisure/Recreation management considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: $22.00 per hour
