The Valley Equestrian Centre (VEC) is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfill the role of Assistant Horsemanship Director/Riding Instructor. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to find their dream career!
VEC is a busy and growing lesson stable with an indoor riding arena located just outside of Rosthern, SK. With a waitlist of students and a full complement of lesson horses, we are looking to grow our friendly team! VEC is a faith-based equine facility which operates under the ministry of the Youth Farm Bible Camp. We are looking for driven and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills who desires to see people grow in their faith and be transformed through horses! Reporting to the Horsemanship Director, the Assistant Horsemanship Director/Riding Instructor role is a combination of paid hours managing the barn, and providing riding lessons either by commissioned compensation or as an independent contractor. We are flexible in how this position will be defined, and are looking forward to working with our successful candidate's unique skill sets and career aspirations.
Roles as Assistant Director: Oversee all care of facility and horses. Organize summer programming including lessons and camps.
Roles as a Riding Instructor: Teach riding lessons within your scope of expertise. We specialize in beginner lessons, and are seeking a coach who excels in this area. English and/or Western. Certification or proof of competency as a coach are required.
VEC is a multidisciplinary stable currently offering english riding, dressage, jumping, western riding, vaulting, horse training services, schooling shows, clinics, riding camps, therapeutic riding, and equine assisted learning. We are open to the specific equine interests and skills that the right candidate may possess!
Compensation package dependent on experience. Personal horse boarding and on-site accommodation can be discussed.
