Contributes to the overall success of the Global Sponsorship Marketing team in Canada (focus on mass audience sports and entertainment properties) ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Contributes to cross-functional team focused on driving brand and business results for Scotiabank through portfolio of sponsorship partners, with awareness of cultural landscape and industry best practices.
- Assists in execution of short and long-term plans with internal and external partners.
- Supports on fulfillment of contractual obligations while ensuring brand alignment, optimization of assets, and coordination of key sponsorship details.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank's values: accountability, passion, integrity and respect. Delivers results in accordance to Scotiabank behavioural competencies. Creates an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives.
- Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

- 1 - 3 years experience in brand marketing, partnerships, and/or related field
- Understanding of cultural, sports, and entertainment landscapes in Canada/International
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
