Position Title: Associate Insurance Advisor / Client Support Representative
Summary:
The Client Support/Advisor role provides clerical and administrative support to the agency staff as well as clients. This includes greeting clients, accepting payments, and answering and placing phone calls. Daily work activities to be completed using existing systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and direct them to the appropriate agency staff, both in-person and over the phone
- Proactively contact clients for a variety of activities regarding policies, billing, scheduling policy reviews, booking appointments, etc.
- Accept, process and deposit all payments
- Provide a full range of administrative support services including filing, faxing, photocopying, incoming/outgoing mail, courier service, order/purchase supplies, managing office email inbox, etc.
- Document client interactions in the appropriate system
- Service auto and tenant policies, including recommending coverages that best meet client needs
- Prospect and cross-sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services
- Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality, and productivity
- Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
Qualifications and Skills:
- Administrative Assistant program or administrative experience is an asset
- General Insurance License is required (if no current license, must be obtained within two months)
- Customer service experience or related business experience is preferred
- Skilled in communication (verbal and written), strong interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills
- Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record and credit check
- One year of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred
- Knowledge of auto and property insurance products is an asset and experience with selling techniques is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
