What is the opportunity?

RBC is hiring an Associate Relationship Manager role for our Montreal based Corporate Client Group (CCG).  This role supports Relationship Managers with their portfolio of strategic high value Treasury and Cash Management clients. The CCG Treasury and Cash Management Relationship Management Teams are accountable for the client non lending banking activities, and provide a gateway for all RBC products and services.  This role will support the Director/ Relationship Managers (RM) with portfolio management responsibilities that include, pricing enrolment, risk management relationship reviews activities and account planning that grow relationships, enhance loyalty and drive innovation with our clients. 

What will you do?

  • Supports senior management in achieving strategic business priorities of revenue growth, enhancing client loyalty and driving innovation with CCG - Treasury and Cash Management clients.

  • Assist in the coordination, support and completion of relationship and operational reviews for  CCG clients (formal and informal) through analyzing and organizing client profiles and data to identify opportunities and execute sales strategies

  • Ensure an exceptional client experience, retain accounts and grow Cash Management, Deposit and RBC revenue  through assisting with sales activities such as preparing onboarding forms for new services, pipeline entries and preparing deposit interest contracts

  • Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) management process and successful closing of new opportunities that respond to client needs or that protect current clients from competitive threats

  • Provide support for operational/transactional risk working appropriately with Partners/Business Risk/ GBSC (includes CBAs, BAA’s, account documentation, etc.)

  • Identify and escalate potential client/product risk concerns to Director/RM, and take appropriate action to improve/ensure risk position is regularized

  • Manage special projects as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Knowledge of the RBC Cash Management Products and emerging industry trends

  • Demonstrated development of an excellent client advice/service experience

  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational, time management capabilities, status reporting, and project management. Find solutions to problems and work with minimum supervision and full accountability

  • Ability to match client needs with product/structure solutions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including exacting attention to detail related to customized contract documentation

  • Ability to prioritize in managing multiple and sometimes conflicting time demands.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada

Nice to have

  • Extensive experience working in a team atmosphere

  • Previous project management experience

  • 3+ years banking, Cash Management

  • Sales and relationship acumen
