The Opportunity
As a member of the Vulnerability Management team, you’ll have the ability to play a substantial and influential role in ensuring Just Eat Takeaway is secure by ensuring vulnerability coverage and management covering all three major cloud platforms; Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
You’ll be a driving force in analysing vulnerabilities, the risk they pose to JET and providing supporting data by leveraging automation and the state of the art tooling we operate and using existing technologies, open-source or developing bespoke solutions to drive us to meet our goals. Day to day, this role will involve your input into our Vulnerability Management service across our various brands, working alongside colleagues in Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
The team is responsible for ensuring vulnerabilities are reviewed on a regular basis and reported to provide a view of our position globally, and communicated at an individual business level. The devil is in the detail driving local brands towards a high level of compliance whilst feeding into the global risk and control frameworks.
The role requires a well-rounded and upbeat person who can hit the ground running (training and support will be provided), and build and exploit existing collaborative relationships to support a very dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for IT Security and an understanding of Vulnerability Management, whilst also looking to extend that knowledge and play an active part in the securing and maintenance of the JET infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Daily assessment and communication of vulnerabilities
Creation of tickets for remediation tracking
Supporting the implementation of Vulnerability Management framework
Evaluate, rate and perform risk assessments on assets
Prioritising vulnerabilities discovered within Published SLA’s
Send, receive and manage notifications to the SMEs of vulnerabilities within the environment
Interaction with multiple global engineering teams
Maintain knowledge of the threat landscape
Produce monthly management reporting and analysis
Provide vulnerability analysis and produce reports for engineering teams
Ownership of VM Data
Ownership of VM Scanning tooling and its operation within group guidelines
Evangelism of vulnerability Management across the company
Your Profile & Experience
Experience with exposure to Vulnerability management
Good IT technical understanding
Ability to drive vulnerability remediation in an agile environment
Exposure to cloud operations inc knowledge of AMI’s, EC2 instances, containers, Serverless and Lambda or Cloud Functions
Ability to drive and assist with the automation of the VM processes
AWS / Azure /GCP & physical asset experience
Experience in guiding and developing engineers on best practices for Vulnerability Management and the wider infosec requirements
Passionate about security and Vulnerability Management
Experience in manipulating data from multiple sources
Experience working within a risk management and control framework
Detail-oriented, methodical and pragmatic in your approach
Understanding of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System and a risk-based approach to Vulnerability Management
Knowledge of the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
