Summary of Role:
The Associate is responsible for providing on-going support to the Principals to assist in the smooth running of the practice and to promote organizational efficiency. Duties will include recurring activities tied to standard operations, administrative tasks, and a significant level of participation in client account servicing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client account administration including responding to client queries and requests, setting up new accounts, processing transactions as well as client meeting preparation and drafting wealth planning reports.
  • Trade processing and follow-up.
  • Preparing special reports, as required (i.e., Performance Summary, Portfolio Valuations, Asset Allocations, etc.) for review by the Principals.
  • Prepare and complete account paperwork for approval and submission.
  • Maintain comprehensive records in the contact management system of client needs and interactions.
  • Provide general office administration support including document preparation, correspondence, filing, responding to emails and phone enquiries, office organization, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of presentations, proposals and other marketing and client communication materials, providing recommendations, as appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Progressively responsible administrative experience – familiarity with our sector is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred but relevant experience (minimum of 2 years) also has a lot of value.
  • Canadian Securities Course preferred (must be willing to complete within 1 year of joining our team).
  • Solid computer skills – with the ability to teach us ways that we could do things more efficiently, or better use the programs we have.
  • Superior client relationship management skills.
  • A desire to learn and grow.

  • Competitive starting salary, commensurate with experience – our starting range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per annum.
