About the Opportunity
The ATE Support role for the OPOR project is designed to offer comprehensive support, both in-person and virtually, across the province during the seven critical Go-Lives. From now until January 2nd, 2025, in the pre-deployment phase, this position operates under a flexible hybrid model. Team members can primarily work from their home location while occasionally traveling across Nova Scotia for essential readiness activities. This arrangement ensures effective project deployment while respecting work-life balance and personal commitments. We are open to applicants from all corners of Nova Scotia, with no requirement or expectation for relocation to Halifax. During our Go Lives, there will be extensive travel to Go Live sites. This role is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to contribute significantly to the OPOR project while enjoying the flexibility and diversity of a province-wide engagement. 
An At The Elbow (ATE) Support Specialist serves as a vital bridge between healthcare professionals and the complex technology they utilize, providing immediate, hands-on support for OPOR CIS system and other critical IT applications. By offering on-site assistance, troubleshooting, and personalized training, they enable frontline staff to focus on patient care without being hindered by technological challenges. Their expertise ensures thAt The implementation and ongoing use of healthcare technology align with organizational goals, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of care across the system.
Consultant Level 1 & 2:
This position is intended to provide ATE support to the following NS Health & IWK roles:
All “clerk” positions, registration, health records, booking, secretary, facilities resource assistant, medical transcriptionist, administrative positions, equipment operator, CCA, Porter, supply technician, procurement, IMIT analyst, volunteer services, all research coordinators, emergency support aide, utility worker, patient flow leader, project managers, patient navigator, and biomedical technologist.
Consultant Level 3:
This position is intended to provide ATE support to the following NS Health and IWK roles:
RT, MLT, PT, OT, Diagnostic Tech including xray, CT, and MRI, Pharmacists, Care Coordinators, Pharmacy Tech, Social Worker, Mental Health Clinical Therapists, all Clinical Technician positions, Dieticians, Rec therapists, and rehab assistants
Consultant Level 4:
This position is intended to provide ATE support to the following NS Health and IWK roles:
Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, MD, and Physician Assistants.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Consultant Level 1:
-Post-secondary diploma in clinical, health science, information technology/clerical and or health adjacent field.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
-1-3 years working within a healthcare setting required
Consultant Level 2: 
-Post-secondary diploma in a health science, information technology and or health adjacent field.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
-1-3 years of Go Live support for EMR required. Cerner preferred
Other qualifications:
-Detail oriented and ability to follow direction.
-Able to function well within a team setting and independently.
-Well-developed organizational and communications skills.
-Possess a valid driver’s license and ability for travel within the province.
-Previous experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered a strong asset.
-Ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks.
-Ability to work successfully within a high change environment with a level of ambiguity
with the roles and functions 
About You Continued
Consultant Level 3:
-Post-secondary diploma/degree in a clinical health science required
-Licensed by your Provincial Regulatory Body required 
-1-3 years hospital based experience required  
Consultant Level 4:
-Post-secondary diploma/degree as a Registered Nurse required
-Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing required
-1-3 years hospital based experience required  
Other Qualifications:
-Detail oriented and ability to follow direction.
-Able to function well within a team setting and independently.
-Well-developed organizational and communications skills.
-Possess a valid driver’s license and ability for travel within the province.
-Previous Go live EMR support an asset.
-Previous experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered a strong asset.
-Ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks.
-Ability to work successfully within a high change environment with a level of ambiguity with roles and functions

Hours
-5 Long-assignment, Full-time Positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
-Approximately 36 months with possibility of extension (assignment length is subject to change)
Compensation and Incentives
Consultant Level 1: 
$32.01- $40.02 Hourly
Consultant Level 2: 
$32.01- $40.02 Hourly
Consultant Level 3: 
$34.07- $42.59 Hourly
Consultant Level 4: 
$38.79 - $48.48 Hourly
