We are looking for an experienced Auto Body & Collision Repair Technician to join our team. This candidate will be working out of our ICBC Express car shop.
Main Functions:
To repair the vehicle as quickly as possible in a safe and quality manner, with a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and finish. The end result should be an invisible repair. Each technician is expected to maintain Fraser River Paint & Body Ltd quality standards.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Note any incorrect parts or discrepancies on work orders
- Immediately notify the production estimator of hidden or missed damage that doesn't appear on the estimate
- All straightening and repairs should be done according to factory specifications including door, hood and deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, welded-on uni parts, etc.
- Protect the customers car to prevent damage during the repairs. This includes but is not limited to the use of car covers, welding blankets, masking paper, or any other practical method to ensure positive results.
- Be responsible and accountable for all parts for any jobs that are assigned to you. Be organized and develop a system for holding the parts and fasteners until they are installed or reinstalled on the vehicle.
- Apply undercoating, seam sealer and lubricants as the need presents itself or as listed on the estimate.
- Ensures notes are placed on hard copy files and report to estimator when changes are made so all employees are aware
- All repairs and painted parts should be completed to the point of "ready for paint" prior to delivering the vehicle to the paint department.
- After painting, re-assembly, headlight adjustment and other final alignments and adjustments prior to the car being delivered should be performed
- Inspect our work and that of others to ensure that the vehicle is delivered with a fit and finish equal or superior to the original factory fit and finish
- Upon completion of a job, advise the appropriate person and request a new assignment
- Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork
- Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follow proper refinishing procedures in compliance with work safe BC guidelines. Complete all repair assignments according to the methods and objective in the Collision procedures

$25 to $35 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Requirements:
· Prior autobody collision experience (3+ Years)
· Must have valid Class 5 Drivers License
· Red Seal an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
