A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REASSEMBLY AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
As a Reassembly Automotive Technician, you come to work every day ready to get the job done promptly and accurately. Alongside your team, you perform top-rate repairs and installations on our customers' vehicles. You service cars that have been in accidents, and you assist with both the Disassembly and Reassembly of these vehicles. When reassembling, you strive to get the vehicles back in pre-accident condition while adhering to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements.
As needed, you install mechanical parts such as radiators and condensers. Attentive to detail, you perform quality control checks, test drives, and Pre and Post scans to ensure everything feels right before returning the car to the customer. You feel great about helping our shop get our customers back on the road!
Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Completes the disassembly of vehicles
- Assists estimators and lead technicians in repair planning
- Assists lead technicians in the repair process
- Assists estimator and lead technicians with damage analysis
- Inspect new parts for accuracy and quality—Mirror-match new parts to damaged parts after disassembly.
- Performs full reassembly and assists in the reassembly of vehicles
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient repair process
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REASSEMBLY AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
- Willingness to complete I-CAR and other training
- Ability to lift, squat, kneel, bend, and manage parts in excess of 70 pounds
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
