Company Overview: Fraser River Paint & Body Ltd is a well-established Commercial Automotive repair facility dedicated to providing high-quality commercial autobody repair services. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Autobody Estimator to join our team.
Job Description: As a Commercial Autobody Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing and estimating repair costs for commercial vehicles. Your knowledge of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) and proficiency in the Mitchell Connect Estimating system will be essential in ensuring the smooth processing of claims and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Estimation of Repair Costs:
- Utilize the Mitchell Connect Estimating system to assess and calculate repair costs for commercial vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to identify all necessary repairs and parts replacement.
- Obtain re-inspection reports and complete final submissions for estimates
Insurance Claims Processing:
- Work closely with ICBC and the Mitchel Connect estimating system to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Provide detailed and transparent estimates to insurance adjusters, addressing any inquiries or additional information required.
Customer Communication:
- Communicate effectively with commercial clients, insurance representatives, and internal teams to provide updates on the estimation process.
- Address client concerns and questions regarding the repair process and cost breakdown.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of estimates, repair plans, and communication with clients and insurance companies.
- Generate and submit reports as required by management.
- Provide detailed photos for ICBC and private claims
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure that estimated repairs align with industry standards and meet quality expectations.
- Conduct post-repair inspections to verify that all work has been completed to the specified standards.
Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and changes in the ICBC regulations to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to further develop expertise in autobody estimation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Autobody Estimator, specializing in Heavy Trucks.
- Proficiency in the Mitchell Connect Estimating system.
- Mechanical Knowledge is an asset
- Heavy Duty Truck Dealer or Shop experience in an asset
- In-depth knowledge of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) processes and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
