Auto Body Technician

Seeking an Autobody Technician in Winnipeg!

Pay Structure:

We offer a $28-$34 flat rate when technician is licensed. Bonus pay available 150 hours to 174 hours produces an extra $1 per to wage, 175 to 199 hours produces an extra $2 per to wage, and 200 hours + produces an extra $3 per to wage.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Remove badly damaged sections of vehicles (for example, trunk lid, roof, rear body panels) and weld in new sections
• Remove minor damage in body panels, fenders, skirting and sheet metal trim, and weld torn metal
• Repair or replace interior and exterior components such as instrument panels, seat frame assemblies, carpets and floorboard insulation, trim panels and moldings.
• Inspect vehicles for dimensional accuracy.
• Adopt work habits that are in accordance with the Employee Policy Handbook.
• Perform all assigned repairs which are safe and correct to reflect the philosophy of the company.
• Attend scheduled daily meetings in the production area for daily release update meeting.
• Advise the management team immediately on any vehicle that has deficiencies or delays that will impact the planned delivery of a vehicle.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the working conditions of the Company.

Designations/Training/Experience Requirements:

• Auto Body Technician journey ticket or Red Seal certification
• I-CAR certifications and training
• Aluminum training/experience

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift, handle and move items up to 50kg
• Working in an Auto Body shop environment (noise, dirt, fumes, hazards)
• Repetitive and physically demanding work – stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, squatting, pulling and work in awkward positions
• Must be able to work around chemicals and fumes

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
