Automation Project Coordinator (Temp)

Pay Band: K, L - This position has the potential to be hired at multiple band levels dependent on candidate experience and education.

This position reports to the Chief Automation Engineer and is a Temporary 18 month term.

The general work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

• Work as part of a team to carry out the design, programming, prototyping, and commissioning of automated machinery and processes
• Report on project progress, risks, issues, scheduling and costing to ensure completion of project within budget and schedule
• Develop technical documentation and turnover packages to support operations/maintenance teams
• Stay current with technological developments through attendance at applicable technical seminars and training sessions
• Review advances in industry to evaluate possible new technology applications to improve operations at Nutrien Rocanville

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technologist Diploma with relevant experience
• 3-5 years of Experience in industrial automation/mining environment
• Previous project management experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
• Communications Networking Experience
• Previous experience working with Rockwell PLCs, HMIs and Software
