Trotman Auto Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automotive General Manager to join their growing team!!
Do you have significant automotive experience and a steadfast passion for managerial roles, specifically in leading and collaborating with Sales, Finance, and Fixed Operations departments in a dealership setting? Remuneration : $250,000 - $500,000 (Depending upon experience and skill set)

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Develop short and long-term goals for each department team leader and their departments and provide regular follow-up meetings to track progress.
  • Review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections to maintain profitability and growth.
  • Pay close attention to daily operations; recommend and create improved courses of action where necessary to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with team leaders of each department to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Assist with rectifying any client concerns and escalations that department team leaders are unable to resolve to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee experiences
  • Assist with the recruitment of employees when necessary to ensure adequate staffing levels and team cohesion.
  • Remain up-to-date with current industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Follow Health and Safety practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Trotman Auto Group’s Core Values in all interactions with clients, team members, and vendors to uphold the company's reputation and brand image.
  • Comply with Trotman Auto Group policies, along with local, provincial, and federal laws, including those governing the rules of the road, to maintain legal and ethical standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as outlined by the President to support the overall success of the dealership.

The Ideal Candidate:*

  • Prior experience as a General Manager supporting sales, finance, and fixed operations departments within a dealership.
  • Ability to develop short and long-term goals for department team leaders and their departments and provide regular follow-up meetings.
  • Strong analytical skills to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
  • A keen eye for detail to monitor daily operations and recommend and create improved courses of action where necessary.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to conduct regular meetings with department team leaders to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
  • Ability to assist with rectifying any client concerns and escalations that department team leaders are unable to resolve.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
  • Experience in recruitment and retention of employees.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with provincial and federal WHMIS standards and Health and Safety policies.
  • Compliance with Trotman Auto Group policies, along with local, provincial and federal laws including those governing the rules of the road.
  • Willingness to perform any additional duties as outlined by the President or CEO.
