Automotive Parts Clerk

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team. The Parts Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and well-organized parts inventory and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Automotive Parts and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the parts inventory.

· Shipping and receiving parts and restocking shelves.

· Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile with computerized records.

· Keeping parts shelves and parts areas free of clutter

2. Order Processing:

· Receive and process parts orders from service technicians, retail customers, and other departments.

· Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

· Communicate with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.

3. Customer Service:

· Assist customers in identifying and locating the right parts for their vehicles.

· Provide information on pricing, availability, and alternatives.

· Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

4. Documentation:

· Generate and maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and receipts.

· Monitor and track special orders for customers

5. Quality Control:

· Inspect incoming parts for quality and accuracy.

· Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged items.

· Disposal of any garbage and cardboard

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in Automotive Parts management is a plus.

· Familiarity with Automotive Parts catalogs, part numbers, and ordering systems.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Valid driver’s license with abstract.

· Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
