Auxiliary Communications Instructor

May 6, 2024 - June 28, 2024

Duties: College of the Rockies requires an instructor to teach first year Communication courses for the Spring 2024 semester. The successful candidate will deliver two 45-hour courses in a 7 week semester. This instructional assignment is expected to include COMC 102: Advanced Professional Communication, and COMC 101: Technical and Professional Writing. Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Communication, or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate would have extensive experience in current business communication practices, and critical and cross-cultural approaches to communication. Experience teaching in a post-secondary setting, and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of all students will be considered an asset.

Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for auxiliary faculty is in a range from $43.59- $58.51 per hour (this includes 16% in lieu of vacation and benefits). Each 45-hour course includes an additional 45 hours of preparation time for a total of 90 paid hours per course.
