Awake Overnight (PSW, DSW, Direct Support Professional)

Reporting to the Supported Living Home Supervisor, the Full Time Program Aide (Awake) will provide a safe, supportive, home-like environment for people being supported at the location, and promote CLH within the community. This is a compressed work week schedule from 9:00pm to 9:00am, with shorter hours on Wednesday's from 10pm- 9am and Friday's from 9pm-8am.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Providing a home-like environment for people being supported, ensuring that the individual’s rights are maintained,explained, encouraged and respected
• Informing the Full Time Program Team Lead of concerns and possible changes to better meet the individual’s needs
• Providing feedback to external professionals/consultants as a team member
• Carrying out programs as assigned, such as orienting individuals to the residential setting, implementing, monitoring andrecording programs, maintaining all required program records
• Maintaining specified records, such as occurrence book, individual logs, incident reports, behavioural tracking, etc.
• Performing all duties in a responsible and safe manner and providing a safe environment for the individuals we support
• Promoting a positive image of CLH within the community

Establishing and maintaining an excellent working relationship and rapport with the people we support and your fellow colleagues To be considered as a candidate, the successful applicant must have the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• Experience working with individuals with high behavioural needs
• Demonstrated excellent ability to relate to the individuals we support
• A current, valid G driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Demonstrated excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Excellent record of work performance and proven reliability are essential
• Proficiency in both written and verbal French Language skills is considered an asset
