We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in North Vancouver, BC, Canada V7L 1B2
A lovely family in the Lower Lonsdale neighborhood (North Vancouver) is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 2.5 year old to start as soon as possible. Backup care is needed intermittently for date nights on weekdays from 4pm-8pm or when the child is home sick from daycare Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. The family is open to candidates who are only available for 3-4 hours during their daytime requests. The family can provide 24-72 hours notice prior to when date night care is needed and 12-24 hours notice prior to when backup sick care is needed. Those applying do not need to be available for all requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The child enjoys dancing, music, playing with trains, and is very imaginative. Mom and dad work from home most days. The child has a mild peanut allergy and has an Epipen available if needed. A great candidate will be flexible and engaging.

- Compensation: CAD $25 per hour
Schedule: Intermittent care - No guaranteed hours*
- Mondays-Fridays, 9am-5pm, (4 hours within this time frame)
- Mondays-Fridays, 4pm-8pm (3-4 hours within this time frame)
Upcoming days/times care is needed:
- Friday, April 12th, 4-8pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engaging with the child in play and taking to nearby parks
- Diaper changing + potty training assistance
- Serve dinner to child (will be prepped ahead)
- Bedtime routines
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
- Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Spanish speaking is a plus
