Job Description
We are a gentle and happy family with two children, one toddler and one baby, who require an energetic, play-based, and knowledgeable nanny.
If you feel energetic enough to run after the kids and play for hours, passionate about educating children in a fun and effective manner, and comfortable working as a sole charge but also alongside parents, we will be happy to meet you.
Our ideal candidate must have a positive can-do attitude, work well both as a team and independently, have experiences engaging children in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play, and be knowledgeable in child development.
Contract: full-time with 40 hours per week.
Contract length: 1 year to start
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. It also requires overnight and weekend time coverage a few times a month.
Hourly Rate: $20-$25/hour gross
Location: Toronto, around Trinity Park. Children’s: 2
Start Date: April/May 2024
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
- Child-related duties, including preparing and feeding meals, bathing and clothing, age-appropriate play, visits to the park, nap time routine, etc.
- Conduct the children’s daily schedules according to the parent’s requirements.
- This childcare-focused position requires light household duties, such as meal prep, laundry help, and keeping the home tidy and organized.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding the children’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements/Qualifications
- +3 years of experience in caregiving for toddlers and babies simultaneously.
- Early Childhood Education is an asset.
- A degree or diploma in ECE, Youth and Childcare, Psychology, PSW or another relevant study area is an asset.
- First Aid/CPR certification is required.
- Childcare/Nanny references are required.
- Proof of Covid Vaccination (at least two doses)
- A valid Criminal Reference Check is required.
- Bilingual English and other language (Spanish-french)
- Able to work in Canada without our sponsorship
Kills:
