Babysitter/Nanny

We are a warm and welcoming family seeking a caring, experienced, and professional full-time nanny for our young toddler and newborn. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, a wealth of patience, and an engaging approach to child development. In addition to childcare, this role includes housekeeping tasks and cooking duties to maintain a clean, nurturing, and organized home environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to our toddler and newborn, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and educational environment: read to the children, and engage in a variety of educational and creative play activities
• Manage children's schedule including meals, nap times, and recreational activities
• Prepare nutritious and age-appropriate meals for the children
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, tidying, and maintaining children's areas
• Full housekeeping as necessary, including cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming other parts of the home
• Help with meal preparation for the family
• Accompany children to various social and educational activities outside the home, when necessary
• Regular communication with parents about daily activities and any behavioral or developmental milestones or concerns

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a full-time nanny, specifically with infants and toddlers
• Knowledge of age-specific developmental, emotional, and health needs
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages
• Ability to cook nutritious meals and perform housekeeping tasks
• Ability to handle the physical demands of caring for young children
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in child care and development such as a CDA is a plus
• Exceptional patience, communication skills, and multitasking ability
• Comfortable with background checks and providing professional references
