As a Backend Developer at ScalePad, contribute to enhancing our sales quoting product - Quoter. Collaborate closely with the team, prioritize clean code, and bring a self-starting attitude to thrive in our dynamic remote-hybrid environment. Your role directly impacts partner experiences and contributes to ScalePad's success. If you choose to accept, embark on a journey of impactful contributions and professional growth.

Responsibilities.

• Architect, estimate, develop, and test new features and improvements on our cloud-based sales quoting platform.
• Collaborate closely with the founders of the company and work directly with the Product team to build proof of concepts (POCs) and deliver results that enhance the experiences of our partners (customers).
• Embrace a clean code culture, focusing on collaboration, iterative development, rapid releases, and continuous improvement.
• Prioritize team velocity over individual performance, fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and autonomy.
• Participate in a development process based on Shape Up, working collaboratively in small teams to ship the most business value in each six-week cycle.
• Engage in collaboration, pair programming, and peer review to optimize work efficiency while maintaining code quality and reliability.

Qualifications.

• 3+ years of backend software development experience, with a passion for code quality and a strong understanding of software development concepts promoting readability, maintainability, and testability.
• Familiarity with related technologies such as Golang, RabbitMQ, Redis, Ruby on Rails, Typescript, ReactJS, Next.js, AWS S3 + CloudFront, CakePHP, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GitHub Actions, and Cypress.
• Experience in Go or PHP programming languages.
• Comfortable writing automated tests using tools like Cypress/Selenium.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and innate curiosity.
• Ability to take ownership of projects, seeing them through to delivery.
• Comfortable and productive working remotely.
  
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement with a humble approach.
• True self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to thrive with little external motivation.
