Provincial Treasury (PT) is one of the largest financial institutions and debt managers in Western Canada, and the largest public sector insurer in Canada. PT provides debt management, corporate and project finance, banking, cash management, security and Risk Management services to government, government bodies and other authorized organizations.
Risk Management Branch (RMB) is accountable for the effective management of risk to which the provincial public sector is exposed by virtue of its assets, programs and operations. In delivering its mandate the branch has four different roles: Central Risk Management agency within government;Risk management advisor/consultant; Risk management program development and delivery; Claims and litigation management.
The Risk Management Consultant is responsible for providing Risk Management and insurance expertise in relation to the ongoing delivery,enhancement and maintenance of the self-insurance / Risk Management programs for public health sector organizations.
Job Requirements:
  • Post-secondary and related course work.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience providing client support in an insurance, Risk Management, or enterprise Risk Management environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation or Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or working towards one of these designations.
  • Experience with Construction or Commercial Lines insurance.
  • Experience conducting financial and/or risk analysis to resolve issues.
  • More years of related experience.
