Electric Wolf will be Canmore’s newest licensed café on Main Steet for great coffee, delicious sandwiches and pastries all made from scratch.
Position Overview
Join our team at Canmore's newest café, where we're passionate about serving great coffee, delicious sandwiches, and pastries all made from scratch. We're looking for a skilled Barista Supervisor that will lead the Electric Wolf team and be dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Salary: $20-22/hr + gratuities
Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Weekdays, weekends, morning/days/evenings.
Anticipated Start: April 1, 2024

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the lead for the Electric Wolf team.
  • Create a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Order stock and supplies for the café.
  • Assist with café employee scheduling.
  • Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as enter the café.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring attention to their specific preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and teas, adhering to our established recipes and standards.
  • Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Handle cash transactions, including accepting payments, issuing change, and providing receipts, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized counter area, ensuring supplies are stocked, condiments are readily available, and the workspace is tidy throughout the day.
  • Provide prompt service, striving to minimize waiting times for customers during busy periods.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Up-sell additional menu items, such as pastries or snacks, to enhance the customer experience and maximize sales.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest coffee trends and industry developments to continuously improve your knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Supervisor experience in a café setting, preferred.
  • Ordering experience, preferred.
  • Passion for coffee and a genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during peak periods.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service.
  • Must have valid ProServe and Alberta Food Handler certificates.
