Battery Station Worker

• Maintain the fleet of forklift batteries and chargers;
• Update the usage list for batteries and chargers;
• Ensure the cleanliness of the battery charging areas;
• Support other trades when required;
• Maintain an efficient, clean and safe working environment in accordance with FedEx Supply Chain and CSST client standards;
• Complete various monitoring and control reports, as required;
• Perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management;

• High School Diploma or equivalence;
  
• One to two years of work experience in an industrial environment;
  
• Ability to maintain a list of uses (batteries / chargers);
  
• Knowledge of the WHMIS program;
  
• Great sense of customer service and attention to detail;
  
• Ability to work in a computerized environment;
  
• Ability to operate motorized rolling stock;
  
• Warehouse environment. Exposed to variable temperature conditions;
  
• Ability to work standing for long periods;
  
• Day or evening schedule;

• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, write and interpret information.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull.
• Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
