Behaviour Clinician

Qualifications Needed:

1. Bachelor or Masters degree

Experience Needed:

1. 3+ years working with client(s) with complex needs within Child and Youth Services.

Assets:

1. Specialized Training in Trauma Informed Care and Crisis Response.

2. Registered Behavior Technician Certification (Asset but not a requirement.)

3.Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)or working towards certification as a BCaBA or with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Please note that Capital Family Services will provide the BCaBA course load.

4. 2+ years supervising and/or managing staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and intake process for new clients.

2. Complete a Termination Agreement(TA) with an emphasis on Generalization and Maintenance of all programming taught and used.

3. Use evidence-based assessments and treatments in consultation with a Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director.

4. Collect and analyze individual client data on programming and treatment outcomes.

5. Collect data on program integrity which includes treatment fidelity and Interobserver Agreement (IOA).

6. Complete weekly clinical updates, monthly clinical reports, and 3-month client progress reports.

7. Complete Clinician Session notes for each session and Parent/Guardian Interaction documents.

8. Review and provide feedback on Incident Reports.

9. Update and review the Individual Behavior Support Plan (IBSP) and all programming and protocols on a monthly basis.

10. If working for certification, ensure you are meeting all the fieldwork supervision requirements as per the BACB.

11. If working for certification and/or you’re a BCaBA, follow the consultation process with your assigned Clinical Supervisor.

12. Meet as a group with the Clinical Director monthly.

13. Make every effort to meet and gain pre-approval from parents and/or guardians prior to implementation of programming and protocols.

14. Make every effort to meet and collaborate with other stakeholders working with the client.

15. Provide Behavior Skills Training(BST) to technicians and staff on assigned cases.

16. Attend meetings as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
