Belmont Diner Willow Park: The Belmont team is excited to announce a new Belmont Diner location in Willow Park Village opening in March 2024. As we prepare to open, we're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team!

Since being established in 2000, we've done all day breakfast and lunch for over 20 years. You'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring they start their day off right with a delicious breakfast experience.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet guests with a smile, take orders promptly, and ensure their dining experience exceeds the Belmont standard.
• Menu Knowledge: Thoroughly understand our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
• Order Accuracy: Input orders accurately into the POS system and communicate special requests to the kitchen staff.
• Table Maintenance: Keep tables clean and presentable at all times, clearing dishes efficiently and resetting tables for the next guests.
• Upselling: Promote additional menu items, such as Milkshakes or Bottomless Hashbrowns to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with management, kitchen staff, support staff and other servers to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Payment Processing: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing payments and returning change promptly.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy work environment, including keeping serving stations organized and adhering to sanitation standards.
• Problem Resolution: Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
• Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, alcohol service, guest interaction etc.

Requirements:

• Previous Experience: 1 year prior experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Positive Attitude: Friendly demeanour and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability: Punctuality and consistency in attendance are essential for this position.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pro-serve: Obtain or possess a valid pro-serve permit.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
