BF&M is comprised of several companies selling health, life, pension, property and casualty insurance products.?Now, we are partnering with BF&M who is looking for a Benefits Analyst to join their team in Dartmouth, NS.
The Benefits Analyst role will have a strong focus on data analytics, pricing, and systems optimisation. As a Benefits Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse data, develop pricing strategies for our insurance products, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Reporting directly to the Head of Benefits Management, your insights and recommendations will directly impact our ability to deliver competitive insurance products, enhance operational efficiency and contributing to our overall business growth.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights.
- Develop and maintain data models and reporting tools for pricing and operations.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within the data to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to analyse market trends and competitive intelligence.
- Assist in the development of pricing models and strategies for insurance products.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies and recommend adjustments.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement system enhancements.
- Monitor and assess the impact of optimisations on overall operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present data-driven reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Other related duties as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
- 5 years of relevant work experience as an analyst.
- Proven experience in data analytics, pricing, and systems optimisation.
- Proficient in data analytics tools such as Excel, Python, or SQL and expertise in data visualisation tools as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
- Knowledge of insurance industry concepts and pricing methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with e-signature platforms and electronic document management systems.
