Job description

THE ROLE

Produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our tender submissions and projects across Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough research to understand client requirements, scope of work and other relevant information to understand tender submission and required deliverables
  • Write, edit and proofread bid responses, proposals, management plans and supporting documentation
  • Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate the value proposition and unique selling points
  • Contribute to the repository of standardized bid content including boilerplate responses, case studies, knowledge library and other relevant information
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and prioritizing workload effectively
  • Collaborate with the bid team to develop and refine bid processes, templates and best practice
  • Participate in kick off meetings, review meetings and debrief sessions to gather feedback and improve future bids
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics and emerging bid writing practices to enhance the quality and competitiveness of our bids

 ABOUT YOU

  • Technically minded with the ability to interpret drawings and understand construction concepts
  • High level of reading, comprehension and writing in clear and concise manner, tailoring style and language to appropriate internal or external audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft software suite
  • Ability to operate across hybrid teams (virtual and face to face, remote, regional and metro)
  • Ability to self organise to deliver on strict timelines, with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • An openness to adjust ways of working to achieve business objectives
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective internal stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in editing, formatting, clarifying and proofreading documents across the business and coaching skills to influence on ways to improve writing skills

Advantageous

  • APMP certification
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, or similar
  • Onsite or office-based Engineering, Mining or Construction experience
  • Previous experience in a technical writing role within the remedial maintenance, construction and/or Defence industries
