The position is located 30 minutes south of Winnipeg.
The Francophone Affairs Secretariat is seeking a Bilingual Receptionist for the Bilingual Service Centre (BSC) in St-Pierre-Jolys. The BSC provides community access to government programs and services, which may include various municipal, provincial and federal programs.
The Manitoba government has a comprehensive benefits package which includes extended health care, health spending account, dental care, vision care, long term disability insurance, group life insurance, maternity/paternity leave, family related leave, and a defined pension plan (some pension plans allow for portability between the Civil Service Superannuation Board and employee.)

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience providing secretarial and administrative support including reception duties.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in French.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to exercise good judgement in response to various situations.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive material and information in a confidential and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform tasks effectively in an environment with competing demands.
- Strong written communication skills in French.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook or similar software application.
Desired:
- Experience or knowledge of SAP modules.
Duties:
The Bilingual Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for the general public seeking information or access to government programs, including responding to electronic, in person, and telephone inquiries in both official languages. The Receptionist also provides technical assistance to the clients on the use of public access computers, as well as administrative support to internal staff.
