We are looking for a Bilingual Recruiter. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, you will lead hiring managers through a professional recruitment process and support the implementation of recruitment solutions that are cost effective, timely and enable the business unit to meet their talent requirements while managing the full recruitment cycle including corporate onboarding programs. You’re an extended member of each business unit, providing subject matter expertise to ensure talents needs are met for today and the future. You truly understand what the business unit does and how they fit into the bigger picture. Your natural curiosity, uncanny level of perception, analytical thinking, and strong listening skills are the reasons why leaders and candidates trust you - you understand what’s important to them.
The position entails but is not limited to the following:
General:
  • Accountable for the entire recruiting life-cycle from candidate presentation to offer acceptance;
  • Ensure effective recruitment, transfer and hiring methods, position requirements, orientation, policy and procedures, collective agreements and job postings are all met accordingly;
  • Partner with hiring leaders to build effective sourcing, assessment and closing approaches while managing client group expectations through a deep understanding of their staffing needs;
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management;
  • Conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates;
  • Participate in special projects and coordinate recruitment initiatives that support staffing efforts and ensuring alignment with the organization’s values, vision, and strategic objectives;
  • Curate an exceptional candidate experience at each point of contact;
  • Leverage external networking and professional associations to reinforce career opportunities;
  • Lead new employee onboarding initiatives to ensure a positive and welcoming experience;
  • Contribute to other recruitment activities from time to time, including job fairs, presentations, and related activities both virtually and off site;
  • Ensure fair and equitable hiring practices;
  • Facilitate international recruiting initiatives.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you:
Education & Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience with preference to those who have or are in the process of obtaining their CPHR;
  • Minimum two years’ recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, preferred in an unionized environment;
  • Experience leading behavioral based interviews with hiring managers and guiding them through the process;
  • Confident with leveraging technology especially social media for recruitment perspectives;
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships;
  • Expert at understanding and assessing the needs of both hiring leaders and candidates and setting expectations;
  • Valued for your ability to proactively identify issues and opportunities, analyze facts and data, and develop and implement solutions to address;
  • Noted for you exceptional organizational skills and ability to be resilient and adaptable in an environment of ongoing change or ambiguity;
  • Sought out as a collaborative team member who engages others, supports others, and celebrates their achievements;
  • Above average presentation skills;
  • Travel may be required at times;
  • Bilingualism (FR/ENG) is a requirement for this position.
