What is the Opportunity?

The Billing Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing the integration of a cloud-based billing platform designed to conduct revenue management for a large-scale cash management business.  In addition, the candidate will work closely with the revenue management team to ensure pricing hierarchies, pricing models, invoicing, and billing analytics are integrated within the USCM business.  The candidate will work closely with other product partners to ensure billing processes are integrated as new solutions and capabilities are developed and client ready. 

The right candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work with a myriad of cross-functional teams, excellent listening skills and be goal oriented in a fast-moving environment focused on the client experience.  The right candidate should be able to look at client experience from an end-end perspective and focus on delivering an experience that is Simple, Transparent, Actionable and Real-time.

The US Cash Management USCM) Business is a unique opportunity to build the cash management business of the future from the ground up. What will you do?

  • Execute on the vision and strategy for billing solutions to support the USCM business and customer billing reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with other product and technology partners to prioritize and drive solutions to market.
  • Adhere to industry standard specifications (AFP, ISO) to integrate with the target solutions.
  • Work directly with internal sales partners and external clients to understand their needs to help mold the best-in-class solutions.
  • Stakeholder in defining the strategic roadmap for billing products and capabilities.
  • Partner in designing the operational processes to support customer inquiries related to billing, client onboarding of billing solutions, and innovating solutions geared to providing the best client experience.
  • Responsible for delivering the billing platform, capabilities, and solutions to support corporate, government, and financial institution customers.
  • Ensure that client charges/invoices are simple and easy to understand from an end-to-end perspective, from the client to RBC internal teams.  This includes ideation/ implementation of client “self-service” for billing reconciliation and queries pertaining to pricing and billing.  The Product Manager will work closely with the Pricing / Revenue Management team to support different pricing strategies – Bundling, Subscription models, Tiering and associated reviews and escalation.
  • Define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Review test plans to ensure thorough validations and sign-off on test completion related to billing solutions.
  • Review solutions with senior management, compliance, tax, and legal teams.
  • Works with internal partners to set priority, detail solutions, and review with stakeholders.
  • Define internal product communications.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience in a corporate banking environment and ability to determine how other products and services impact billing solutions.
  • General knowledge of billing processes: automated, operational, collections, and revenue management.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional partners from technology, operations, revenue management, and other product groups.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables based on Agile methodology to meet timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills ranging from high-level to detailed perspectives.
  • Keep up to date in the marketplace on emerging trends and how analyze impact to Billing solutions.
  • Keep a keen focus on the client experience to deliver best-in-market solutions.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $150,000 - $200,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
