Board Director

Life After Fifty is a nonprofit organization looking for a Board Director.  A Director performs a governance role and actively promotes the objects and purposes of the organization i the community.  You will be expected to direct the organization according to the stated constitution and By-Laws.  You will be involved in development of short and long-term goals and objectives for the organization with potential approved plans to meet them.  Review and approve, where appropriate, policy and other recommendations received from committees or the Executive Director.  Review and approve annual operating a capital budgets for each fiscal year.  Ensure an adequate system of "checks and balances" prevail to eliminate conflict of interest and to promote prudent management of organizational affairs.  Will also be required to service a minimum of one standing or advisory committees.
