Responsibilities of Autobody Painter:
Preparing surfaces for painting by eliminating old paint, filling in holes, and fixing damage;
Blending paint hues to attain the intended outcome;
Administering paint onto surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns;
Verifying adequate coverage and a flawless finish;
Managing the upkeep of painting tools and equipment;
Adhering to safety protocols and donning protective gear during work.
Requirements
1+ years of experience as an auto body licensed painter or apprentice
Technical Skills: Proficiency in color mixing, surface preparation, and various painting techniques.
Knowledge: Understanding of several types of paints, primers, and finishes, as well as their application methods.
Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and address painting issues or imperfections effectively.
Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Relevant certifications or vocational training in auto body painting or a related field.
Software Skills: Familiarity with computerized paint mixing systems and paint-related software is advantageous.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other auto body technicians and professionals.
On-the-Job exposure to the following elements: Fumes, dirt, chemicals/toxins, hazards, heat/cold, noise.
