Position Overview
The Bonar Law Historic Site is a provincial heritage site managed by Five Rivers. The property includes a festival area, historic buildings, and a museum. We are seeking a dynamic individual to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bonar Law Common Site. The supervisor will lead the staff, and assist in the development of programs and events for the site.
Responsibilities for Personnel
- Work in collaboration with the Community Development & Engagement Coordinator
to develop programs and events;
- Responsible for supervising staff;
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for the staff.
- Responsible for the implementation of tasks as deemed necessary by the Community Development & Engagement Coordinator.
Responsibilities for Heritage Value
- Liaison with the Provincial Department for Tourism, Heritage and Culture;
- Assist in the preparation of site opening and site closing as per the provincial regulations;
- Responsible for developing and maintaining heritage value of the site;
- Responsible for programming and coordinating activities to be held on Historic Site;
- Ensure maintenance and required repairs of the facility are reported in order to avoid accidents or other problems caused by defective buildings and equipment;
- Keep facilities impeccably clean, inside and out.
Experience/Skills
· Post-secondary education in recreation, administration, business management or another related field;
· Minimum of one year experience in a management level role;
· Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills;
· Knowledge and experience in program development, implementation and evaluation;
· Ability to speak both English and French is an asset.

- Weekends as needed
