Bookkeeper

Local, family owned, bookkeeping firm is currently seeking experienced bookkeepers to join our growing team.

Our clients range from small independents to medium-sized businesses. Our client firms value our personal, family-owned and dedicated service approach. We offer our clients full-cycle bookkeeping and business support, from start-up to wind down. We work with our clients both remotely all over Alberta and right beside them in their office setting throughout the Calgary area.

As a valuable member of our team, you will be professional and presentable to offer our clients the highest level of service. In turn, we can offer steady part time contract work with the potential to grow into permanent and/or leadership roles for the right people. We pay competitive hourly rates, commensurate with experience and demonstrated production levels. We offer training and support for strongly skilled candidates but largely you are able to work on your own and consistently meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has experience with or is wanting to learn trust accounting as well.

A Bit About You:
- 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Online, certification is preferred
- Manage workloads and liaising with partners and other staff on files
- Task oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as a team
- Experience with Sage 50 and Xero is beneficial
- MS Word and Excel proficiency at a high level
- High attention to detail and the desire to ensure accuracy as quality is more important than quantity

A Bit About The Role:
- Bookkeep client records
- Post weekly/ monthly data entry and reconciliations on a set schedule

- Maintain client or internal files as needed to backup client records

- Consistent adherence to good bookkeeping practices and meeting deadlines

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• QuickBooks Online: 3 years (required)
